Market Entry Support for Japan
Overview
To build awareness for the Italian pasta brand LaMolisana in the Japanese market, we carried out marketing research and insight exploration using our WATERWHEEL MODEL.
Challenge
LaMolisana began as a company in Molise, a relatively little-known Italian region. After being acquired by a local flour mill around 2010, it grew in little more than a decade to become the number two brand by share in Italy. In Japan, however, it was still not widely known, and the question was how to build that awareness. We began by running the WATERWHEEL MODEL to explore marketing insights in the Japanese market.
Result
Through the WATERWHEEL MODEL we gathered 300 prospective customers into the official LINE account, creating a foothold for wider interest and awareness in LaMolisana and a base for the initiatives that follow. The project is ongoing.
