PHILOSOPHY

MISSION

Growing the number of Japanese who can compete globally

Most working people in Japan today have known nothing but a stagnant economy since childhood, and few have ever felt the wind at their back. Yet in the emerging economies of Asia we found societies where, even without Japan's infrastructure, everyone believed that tomorrow would be better than today.

At the same time, Japan is full of people and companies making genuinely good things that never reach — or never resonate with — the customers who need them, and who go unrewarded as a result. We believe this is precisely why Japan struggles to compete globally. We are not losing on quality. What is missing is the architecture for communicating value and being chosen. Which also means that, once a company acquires that capability, there is no shortage of markets it can compete in.

That is why we begin with marketing and business design. Making sure that what you want to deliver actually lands, and that what you want to say actually gets through. This produces results for the business in front of us, and it also builds the muscle that lets a company and its people compete anywhere in the world. We then walk with our clients as they take that muscle, trained at home, across borders to test it.

Rather than merely surviving in a comfortable but shrinking society, we want more Japanese people to dive into the rough-edged, dynamic energy of growing markets. That ambition is what keeps us going.

VISION

THE WORLD IS YOURS

Creating a world where everyone can live freely, as themselves

The freedom and authenticity we care about.
Living in a liberal society, we enjoy the freedom of many choices.
Our occupation, marriage, where we go, and ultimately how we live.
Throughout history, countless people have shed blood for freedom, and revolutions have been fought in its name.
That is how deeply earlier generations longed for it.

Today, advances in technology and social systems have made humanity freer than ever before.
And yet there are still people who cannot live freely as themselves,
and others who freeze, unsure how to act on the freedom they have been given.
In an age where even knowledge work is being replaced by technology,
we want to create a society in which people can face what it means to live as human beings. That is the world we are working to realise.
